The Newberg City Council met on August 3, 2020. The Council took the following actions: ● Approved Resolutions: 2020-3694, Comp Plan change and annexation of city property 2020-3692, Public Safety Union contract COLA ● Proclaimed August 9 – 15 as National Health Center Week. In other business, Gave direction to staff to keep District 5 seat vacant and ask winner of the November election to be seated early. Gave direction to staff to bring back a resolution amending emergency declaration and extending the period in 1-month increments up until 3 months before revisiting. Heard presentations on Council Goal: Communication & Leadership, Cultural District annual report, and Chehalem Valley Chamber quarterly report. Also heard presentation on Information Technology Master Plan report. Heard activity report from City Manager. Discussed Council assignments.
