The Newberg City Council met on March 16, 2020. The Council took the following actions: ● Approved Resolutions: 2020-3657 – Declaration of local state of emergency due to COVID-19 pandemic. 2020-3646 – Master Fee Schedule update 2020-3643 – Fee in lieu of parking for residential use in C-3 zoning district ● Approved Ordinances: 2020-2857, residential use on first floor of buildings in C-3 zoning district on E/W Second Street. 2020-2858, Accessory Dwelling Unit parking requirements. In other business, Appointed Tim O’Leary to the Newberg Public Library Board. Heard presentations on Safe & Reliable Water supply, and Capital Improvement Plans. Heard activity report from City Manager. Discussed city response to COVID-19 situation. Heard from citizen about applying sustainability to the city’s budgeting process.
