Hi Paul,

 

As you know, due to the organics present in the top 6-inches at the Townsend lots, the soil needs to be stripped or strengthened.  We are trying to make potential purchasers more comfortable with the idea of cement amending the site strippings (leaving all soil onsite) rather than transporting them to the Hillsboro Landfill.  This saves a tremendous amount of money.  Does DEQ have an opinion on this that may help our argument?

 

P.S. – Gary is plugging away at the risk assessment.
