Hi Paul,

Attached is our summary of analytical data for soil for the incremental sampling of the two DUs at Lot 6. These data were compared to:

· DEQ’s RBCs for soil ingestion, dermal contact, and inhalation, occupational scenario

· Site-specific RBCs for selected constituents (chlordane, DDT, dieldrin, and heptachlor epoxide) derived from EPCs and cancer risk provided in PASCOE’s Human Health Risk Assessment for incidental ingestion and dermal contact, adult industrial scenario

· Background concentrations for metals

· Clean fill screening levels

· Surrogate screening level values derived in PASCOE’s Ecological Risk Assessment

Results of this screening indicated:

· no exceedances of RBCs,

· one slight exceedance of an SLV for DDT in DU6S,

· one slight exceedance of background copper in DU6N

· exceedances of CFSLs for DDD, DDE, DDT, and dieldrin in all of the samples

While the soils need to continue to be managed from an erosion control standpoint, it would appear that a cap over the interim soil management unit is not needed for protection of human health or protection of ecological receptors. What are your thoughts?

Thank you,
