Thanks for the synopsis. I believe their main interest in the water supply well was whether they should be getting supplied drinking water. I indicated that if they are not now receiving it they probably don't have a reason for concern but I would check. They may want to discuss the location of the monitoring wells.

I will relay the key items of this information then let them come back with what they want. Don't interrupt your work for this. I believe we can wait for the annual report in its due time.

Hello Mavis,

FYI, there are 2 TSA remedy monitoring wells on the Sandy Mobile Villa site (Lower TSA wells MW-22ds and MW-22dg, located near the loop drive at the eastern end of the property), and one SGA replacement water supply well (PMX-410R, located near the north side of the community and Laundromat building near the center of the property) that was provided by Cascade in 1997.

If their development plans relate to the SGA supply well, PMX-410R, …this well has been non-detectable for VOCs since it’s installation and is not needed for remedy performance monitoring. The current annual report (due to you June 30) recommends that monitoring in this well be discontinued.

If development plans relate to the location of the MW-22(ds,dg) wells,…the current TSA annual report, due to you June 30, recommends deleting the shallower of the these two wells (MW-22ds) from the monitoring program, because it is duplicative of MW-22dg (i.e., Both are Lower TSA wells),….however Both wells have been consistently compliant since 1997.

A stand alone document summarizing relevant information for these 3 wells doesn’t come to mind,…other than last year’s TSA annual performance report (LAI, Prowell, Pegasus, June 30, 2005), where the following information can be found:

Well location maps:

Figure 2-3 (showing all TSA remedy monitoring and extraction wells)

Figure 4-1b (showing Lower TSA monitoring wells- for locating just the MW-22ds,dg wells)

Figure 4-1c (showing SGA well locations –for locating just the PMX-410R supply well);

Groundwater elevation contour maps:

Figures 4-2b and 4-2c (Nov. 04 data for the Lower TSA and SGA),

Figures 4-3b and 4-3c (Feb. 05 data for the same);

TCE concentration contours:

Figures 4-4b and 4-4c (February TCE data for the Lower TSA and SGA)

Monitoring well construction summary:

Appendix C: Table C-1

Historical VOC concentration data tables:

Appendix D - Compact Disk

Updates for these same figures/tables are ready in draft form for this year’s annual report and I believe the parties would agree to submit them to you in advance in draft form this week, if it would be helpful to you.

Also, I could compile just the relevant tabled data and email them to you ASAP, including scanned lithologic and well construction logs.

From my perspective, I don’t find the 3 wells necessary for evaluating TSA hydraulic plume control or restoration progress. Of the 3 wells, only MW-22dg holds even slight value, just in that it continues, as it has since 1997, to supplement confirmation of the restored areas outside the Lower TSA plume.

Just let me know and we can email whatever information you need. Thanks. Sarah

Sarah, I wanted to confirm some information about the Sandy Mobile Villa well. They called last week (a representative) indicating they want to do some development. I was not sure whether you regularly sample that well, and if there was any detection in the well that would have required providing them with bottled water? I would appreciate if there is a specific document that might have detailed information on this well if you could direct me to it. Thanks.
