I have read the redline and made one edit and added a couple of comments. I agree with your changes. Let me know if I understand correctly that you will put a copy of this finalized memo with figures and tables into an appendix in the upcoming TSA annual report? That is fine with me.

Subject: Draft 07 TSA Response Monitoring Plan for PWB Pumping

Hello Mavis,

In response to Randy Albright’s recent emails regarding potential PWB pumping in the very near future, Chris Kimmel and I thought it best to submit the updated 2007 draft TSA remedy response monitoring plan to you now, for your review and comment. The updates were made to last year’s August 28, 2006 response monitoring plan, and include the following:

· Text updates to reflect this year’s performance findings and reference to newly installed Upper TSA wells BOP-70(ds-215,245,275) and BOP-71(ds). (See the “Redline” file attached to track each of the changes made to last year’s text, for your internal reference. The clean text version attached incorporates those changes.)

· Table updates, including:

o The addition of BOP-70(ds-215) and BOP-71(ds) to the response monitoring schedule for continuous water level, manual water level, and water quality monitoring.

o And a modification to the table footnote to indicate that should the PWB pump for more than 90 days, each of the remedy wells that are routinely monitored for manual water levels will be measured during the last week of PWB pumping (rather than just the response monitoring wells listed in the attached table).

There were 3 figures presented with last year’s response monitoring plan that will be updated for inclusion with the attached 2007 response monitoring plan, but those figures won’t be ready until next week. They show the same monitoring information that is in Table A-3, attached, but in a visual way.

We propose to include a copy of the 07 Monitoring and Contingency Plan for PWB Pumping Events memorandum (attached) in Appendix A of upcoming TSA annual report, along with its associated Table A-3 (attached) and Figures A-4 through A-7 (not yet ready; not attached).

Please let us know if you approve the updated plan text and the two monitoring schedule changes made to Table A-3, attached.

Thanks for your review. -Sarah
