Subject: DEQ approval of Well Decommissioning Workplan dated 9 Oct. 2019

DEQ has reviewed the document entitled Well Decommissioning Work Plan, East Multnomah County Troutdale Sandstone Aquifer Remedy. Fairview, Oregon ECSI No. 1479. This workplan was prepared by Geosyntec Consultants and Landau Associates.

DEQ approves the workplan as presented.

The only discrepancy found in the Work Plan document was in Attachment 2, OWRD Special Standard Letters. On the OWRD Special Standards form for abandonment of well BOP-22-R(ds), the approved depth for grouting extends from three to 264 feet bgs. This well is actually 310 feet deep. If actual well abandonment work will not grout the entire well depth, please contact me.
