Subject: Request for new Web page/project
This e-mail documents that communication has taken place between a contributor and manager for web content development. If you approve the project, forward this email to your Web Rep.
Summary of the Idea: (attach proposed content)
A webpage summarizing the status of cleanup at the East Multnomah County site for Troutdale Sandstone Aquifer groundwater that will provide links to related sites Cascade Corporation and The Boeing Company. The purpose of the EMC webpage and links to Cascade and Boeing is to provide updates and fact sheets for public information and contact. Cascade is within about 3 years of reaching cleanup goals and closing out. Boeing is within less than 10 years of reaching cleanup goals. EMC is within 5 or so years of reaching cleanup goals. All three have/will develop an “exit strategy” with a timeline for additional measures to accelerate cleanup to achieve goals set out in their site RODs, and are interested in alerting stakeholders that work on these long-term projects is coming to a close and to obtain feedback early in the closeout process.
Who is responsible for reviewing and updating the content and when will the content expire or need to be reviewed or changed?
The sites’ project manager will be responsible. At this time the PM is Mavis Kent.
Who else may need to be included or consulted in the communication on this Web project? If the new pages may have cross program/region/division content, Contributor/Manager should communicate with appropriate other vested parties beforehand.
All three sites are under DEQ Consent Orders/oversight. No other persons outside of the cleanup program have been identified at this time.
Will this project have any special needs? (For example, will the pages be associated with any of the agency’s databases?)
No other special needs have been identified at this time.
List any expected deadlines for the project. When does this content need to be online? Are there any public meetings related to this project?
The goal would be to initiate the EMC webpage in July.
Does the content already exist on DEQ's web site, or on a federal or other state agency's web site?
The website would draw information from ECSI and update it with additional information. Cascade and Boeing site documents (exit strategies and fact sheets) would likely be placed in WebDocs with links to the webpage.
What is the Q-Time number to charge for this project?
The EMC Q Time is 24042. Costs accrued under this Q Time is split according to a court allocation between Cascade and Boeing.
