Thank you, Jim. We’ll consider the comments and conduct/document a material survey that looks for and attempts to remove potential sources of HVOCs in indoor air prior to collecting samples.

Kurt,

Sorry for my delay.

Here are a couple editorial comments for you to consider.

1. Section 3.2. DEQ recommends a materials survey is conducted throughout the facility before deploying the samplers to inventory any items that might contain the HVOCs of interest. Possibly remove them during the sampling period to avoid any potential interferences.

2. Section 3.3.2. Data Management. Specifically related to the term “statistical manipulation”, it's important to ensure that the data results are not inadvertently skewed or biased for the evaluation of risk.

Please proceed with your work.

Thank you

Jim

Hi Jim – we’d like to define the full extent of HVOCs in sub-slab soil vapor beneath the Gerber building and begin to evaluate mitigation options soon. Does DEQ have any comments or concerns with the above-referenced work plan?

Jim,

Please find attached the Data Gaps Investigation Work Plan for the Geber Legendary Blades Site. The work plan details the proposed investigation activities to address data gaps identified in our Strategy Recommendations Memorandum. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the scope of work.

Thank you,
