SUBJECT:  VILLA ROAD PAVEMENT STRIPING RESTORATION

Requisition Request

DATE:    October 6, 2014

Background Information:

The city’s contractor, Knife River Corporation-Northwest has completed the Villa Road pavement restoration work. Their contract did not include the work for pavement striping and marking. City staff requested four pavement striping and marking contractors for price quotes and received one quote (at $7,970.00) from Specialized Pavement Marking, Inc. on September 30, 2014.

The work will be paid for through account #18-5150-702171. The approved current fiscal budget has $120,000.00 for pavement restoration and related work for N. Villa Road and N. Springbrook Road.

N. Villa Road pavement restoration (Knife River’s contract) = $91,995.60

N. Springbrook Road pavement and base repair (Raugust’s contract) = $21,470.00

N. Villa Road pavement striping restoration (Specialized Pavement Marking’s price) = $7,970.00

Total = $121,435.60

This project will be funded through the transfer of expenditures within Fund 18.
