Subject: Lawrence Oil - Status Summary

Hi Jim,

In follow up to our site visit today:

Soil Stockpile

As we discussed, the soil stockpile is approved for disposal at the Wasco Co. Landfill and will be removed in the coming weeks, weather and availability dependent. After the stockpile is removed, we will inspect the underlying material and remove any additional soil that appears to have been impacted by it. Following the inspection and any additional soil removal, a minimum of two samples will be collected for confirmation.

Wetland

The Wetland Delineation Report was submitted and is currently under review by DSL. We requested an ETA for completion but do not have a firm schedule from them yet. According to their website, it could be June or even July. Chris Stevenson is reviewing it and asked for your contact information recently, so he may be reaching out.

Storm Water

The 1200-Z Stormwater Permit was submitted and is currently under review by DEQ. We are expecting to hear from them within the next week. A copy of the draft plan is attached.

Future MSBA Tasks

- Submit a wetland sampling plan to DEQ to define the extent of PHCs within the wetland, as needed for the Joint Permit Application for soil removal within a wetland.

- After the wetland delineation report is approved by DSL and the wetland sampling has been completed, prepare and submit the Joint Permit Application for soil removal within the wetland.

- Excavate within the wetland and collect confirmation soil samples.

- Additional excavation cleanup at the excavation area during low water and collect confirmation soil samples.

- Construction of a berm along the south side of the excavation cleanup area.

- Perform any additional investigation as required to facilitate closure.

Sincerely,

Marty Burck
