The Newberg City Council met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday March 17th, 2025, and the following transpired: 1. Council held an executive session for approximately the first hour of the meeting. 2. Council Approved the Consent Calendar, passing the resolution to Authorize slurry seal and cape sealing repairs in various locations, authorizing the City Manager to proceed with the Butler property sale, and authorizing a new School Resource Officer agreement. 3. A public hearing for the Master Fee Schedule occurred. Dan from the Finance Department provided some updated information, and council moved to approve the resolution with the minor amendments stated by Dan. 4. James Dingwall gave a presentation on policy concepts for Vacation Rental Home Regulations. 5. TLT was discussed in length, ultimately the following motions were made and passed: motion to allocate 3% of the TLT funds to the Chamber of Commerce, 2% for NDC and the remainder to go to Taste Newberg. A motion that KPIs for all entities will be forwarded to staff from council to include in the final amended contract. As well as a motion to amend Taste Newberg’s contract from 6 years to 3 years with an option to renew at year 2.
