Hi Jim,
Following up on my earlier email, please let us know specifically why DEQ wants to withdraw from the VCP agreement.
Galvanizers has always timely paid all DEQ oversight costs.
We are making progress to complete the Risk Summary Report. However, the task of compiling soil and groundwater data dating back to 1992 has taken much longer than anticipated. In fact, while recently drafting the report, I discovered additional groundwater data from the Balch Consolidation Conduit project that was not included. I am currently incorporating these data to provide a more complete summary of the available data.
Based on the current progress of the report, I can commit to completing and submitting a draft Risk Summary Report to DEQ by November 22, 2023.
Galvanizers would like to set up a Team or Zoom meeting early next week to discuss these issues in further detail. I have copied Scott Jerger, Galvanizers’ attorney, on this email. Please provide us with your availability next week so that we can setup this meeting and resolve any issues that DEQ has with the VCP agreement.
