RE:  Transmittal of City of Portland Outfall Basin 52 Source Investigation Report

Dear Dave,

Thanks for your email in June regarding the status of your information gathering at the Peninsula Iron Works facility at 6618 N. Alta Avenue (ECSI #5686). I remain available for your questions or further discussion on the agreement DEQ requested you to enter into for undertaking a source control investigation at the site.

Meanwhile, on May 24, 2012, DEQ received the enclosed report from the City of Portland in the course of the source control investigation the City is under agreement with DEQ to complete on the 39 City outfall basins that discharge to the Portland Harbor Superfund site. While I was out of the office for the last two weeks of June, I have now reviewed the report and wanted to pass a copy along to you. I hope you and your consultant find the data and information in the report useful for understanding your site and determining the direction of your source control work.
