Hm. I think you are right. It won’t work. It will need to be 4” pex.

I don’t know is the short answer. With line size being decrease down to 2” from 6” they might have a drop in psi. I have not checked into C factor of Pex vs AC nor the length of the run this is merely a hunch at this point.

Adam I was reading this again and wondered if I missed something: are you saying the pressures are really low out there and you aren’t sure whether a 2” pipe will be big enough? I wasn’t quite clear.

Thanks,

Andy

Attached is an estimate for a new 2” water service for 15450 S Feyrer Park Rd. The supplied contractor $#’s come from GT Excavating. Grady has concerns of inadequate line size for this property. Public Works crews took psi’s at the following locations: 15450 current psi is 44psi, 32136 S Adams Cemetery Rd 40psi, & SW_46 fire hydrant 42psi

Adam, can you get us a cost estimate for having our crew replace the AC line through Coleman’s field with a 2” Pex Line? If we’d rather have a contractor help that is fine. We are trying to spend ARPA money. It’s like 2500ft.

Respectfully,
