I really think they should be required to consult the City Government (at a minimum) and the local business communities (additionally), and include that feedback in the findings. I also think the County should be promoting this bill, not playing Switzerland.

Hi Rural Clackamas Mayors and City Managers,

We wanted to share there is a public hearing on Thursday for HB 3304, which would allow ODOT to study the impact of state highway regulations on rural downtown districts. The county does not plan to take a position on this bill, but we thought you might be interested.

You can watch the hearing on Thursday at 8am here. It will also be recorded if you can’t watch it live.

Bill details: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/liz/2021R1/Measures/Overview/HB3304

Hope you are having a good start to Spring.
