Hi Representative Evans,

I’m assuming that this bill was introduced by your office and have a question for you regarding the proposed changes to ORS 279C. If not, then please let me know who did since there is little to no information on the state legislature website and I’m trying to understand why this bill came forward.

A couple of questions for you if you did introduce the bill.

1. 1. Which professional organizations (APWA, ACWA, ASCE or other) did you consult prior to introducing this bill?
2. 2. If none, then which supplier, manufacturer, or trade representative organization approached you to move this bill forward?

If approved, this bill will have significant negative impacts on engineering decisions that protect communities as well as fiscal impacts to ratepayers and potentially taxpayers. Thanks for your time and any information you can provide is appreciated.
