Thanks Representative Lewis for the information. Developers are required to comply with their DEQ erosion control permits and DEQ doesn’t always notify is if they fine developers for not complying with the permit. The City doesn’t issue its own permit for erosion control. Our standards state that they must comply with state agency requirements.
Good to know that DEQ is now going to enforce erosion control requirements. I hope that the same level of inspection and enforcement, when needed, is applied everywhere else in Oregon. Have a good week.
