Hello Gerald,
I wish I could help with this! Both Chief Stafford and Mike Penunuri are out of the office until November 13th and are both unavailable to give the okay for any of the other staff members to get a letter out today. I am sorry I cannot give you a better answer.
Regards,
Melissa

Rod and Vince,
We are getting ready to submit a speed reduction request for Hwy 213 from the north to south city limits to lower the speed limit down to 35MPH. I am getting a Resolution passed thru the City Council tonight to go with the request but would like to have a letter from each of you in support if possible. A simple letter on your letterhead that can be sent to me by PDF would be great. Here is some language to consider.
“The [name of agency] supports the City of Molalla’s request for the reduction of the speed limit along Highway 213 within the Molalla City limits to reduce the severity and frequency of crashes along this corridor.” Feel free to add anything you want. The goal is to impart on the State Traffic Engineer that speed in our urban area are too high and need to be reduced. Thanks and we would like to package all of this up and send out to ODOT by Friday, November 2nd. Let me know if you have any questions.
