PROCLAMATION
RECOGNITION OF THE 20th ANNIVERSARY OF 9-11
Our lives and our world were forever changed on September 11th, 2001.
Thousands of innocent men, women and children lost their lives in attacks in New York City, the Pentagon, and in Pennsylvania. The day would be defined as the worst attack on the American people in history.
Now as we near the 20th anniversary of that fateful day, we remember the lives of those lost, their families, and the heroism of those who charged into the burning wreckage.
The selflessness displayed by first responders and ordinary citizens on that September day will be forever remembered.
We serve, we give, we care. This is the true character of America.
Today we remember the lives lost and the families left, the heroes, and the outpouring of service that followed the devastation.
September 11th is a day to remember our common purpose and our common goodness on this 20th anniversary and every anniversary forward.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and cause the Seal of the City of Newberg to be affixed on this 7th day of September, 2021.
