The Newberg City Council met on March 4, 2024, and took the following actions. Received reports on · the Sister City relationship with Asago, Japan and the Chehalem Valley Middle School Exchange Program · Master Fee Schedule Updates · Rate Review Proposal · Transparency and Communication efforts in the administrative offices Approved Resolution 2024-3922 Extending the Emergency Declaration first passed on January 16, 2024 in response to the freeze event. Received recommendations from the Ad-Hoc Committee on Short Term Rentals. Made a motion to sunset the Ad-Hoc Committee on Short Term Rentals. Made a motion directing staff to initiate work developing a code amendment to the City’s vacation rental home regulations and related program activities, including public engagement.
