Virtual Meeting

Urban Renewal District Vice Chair McBride called the meeting to order at 6:09 p.m.

NURA Budget Committee Members Present:  

Vice Chair Jennifer Bean, Amanda Case, Joe Churella, Tony Elias, Keenan O’Hern, Mike McBride, Bill Rosacker, Molly Olson, and Peggy Kilburg.

Absent:  Chair Phil Higgins, Derek Carmon, Elise Yarnell Hollamon, Robyn Wheatley, Ryan McDermott.

Staff:  Finance Director Kady Strode, City Manager Will Worthey, Community Development Director Doug Rux, Management Analyst Jennifer Elkins.

Motion on 2023 Chair:

Action:  To appoint Phil Higgins to Chair

Motion:  Rosacker

Second:  Olson

Vote:    8 Yes 0 No 6 Absent [Higgins, Carmon, Yarnell Hollamon, Wheatley, McDermott]

Motion on 2023 Vice Chair:

Action:  To appoint Jennifer Bean to Co-Chair

Motion:      Kilburg

Second:  Olson

Motion on Budget Approval:

Action:  To approve the budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year in the amount of $260,495 and to levy property taxes for the 2023-2024 fiscal year for the maximum amount of revenue that may be raised by dividing the taxes under section 1c, Article XI of the Oregon Constitution and ORS Chapter 457.
