The Newberg City Council met on July 6, 2020. The Council took the following actions: ● Elected Councilor Findley as Council President for the remainder of 2020. ● Approved Resolutions: 2020-3689, Ferguson Enterprises contract award for Advanced Metering Infrastructure Project 2020-3688, Declaration of vacancy for District 4 Council Seat 2020-3686, Code Amendment initiation for plans update 2020-3687, Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments contract for planning services. ● Approved Ordinance 2020-2864, Comprehensive Plan Map amendment for 717 N College Street. In other business, Council discussed legislative priorities for the annual League of Oregon Cities survey. Directed staff to research a pet waste ordinance, and return with a recommendation. Heard presentations on Council Goals of Housing, and Urban Renewal. Heard activity report from City Manager. Discussed Council assignments.
