The Newberg City Council met on March 2, 2020. The Council took the following actions: ● Approved Resolutions: * 2020-3599, Agreement with Yamhill County on work crews. * 2020-3645, Approval for Yamhill County to approve partition on NE Bella Vista Drive. In other business, Proclaimed April 2020 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in support of Juliette’s House in McMinnville. Heard presentation on Yamhill County Work Crew. Heard activity report from City Manager. Heard from citizens about Newberg FFA club presentation on hemp, public records requests and details, city budget, Elliott Road widening, excessive fines on a homeless individual for trespassing by sleeping under a bridge, and Yamhill County Point in Time homeless count.
