The Newberg City Council met on August 5, 2019. The Council took the following actions: ● Approved several resolutions: 2019-3587, Appointment of Austin Garcia to Public Works Operator I position. 2019-3582, Acceptance of Housing Needs Analysis & Strategy 2019-3589, Approval of request to subordinate city’s lien for McCann Apartment complex. ● Recognized 125th anniversary of Zion Lutheran Church in Newberg. In other business, Heard presentation on City Committee structure Heard update on Community Visioning Project Heard from citizens on widening of Elliott Road, and homeless car campers in neighborhoods. Heard activity report from City Manager. Discussed Council committee and community activities. Held over hearing on Ordinance for murals on public buildings in residential zones to August 19th.
