The Newberg City Council met on June 17lh, 2019. The Council took the following actions: •Proclaimed June 20th, 2019 as Leah Griffith Appreciation Day in honor of her retirement as Newberg’s Library Director. •Approved several resolutions: 2019-3556, New Downtown banners 2019-3570, Acceptance of Certified Local Government grant 2019-3568, Troodle Partition on Bell Road 2019- 3569, TriTech Software Systems contract award 2019-3571, Pedestrian easement release 2019-3574, Utility Assistance policy update 2019-3578, City Manager Recruitment rfp •Approved Order 2019-0039, updating the Public Safety Fee with a new CPI. •Gave direction to City Manager Recruitment council subcommittee. •Appointed Kriss Wright to the Planning Commission. In other business, Heard an update on the Urban Growth Boundary process. Heard Councilor updates on committees and community outreach. Heard City Manager ’s report.
