The Newberg City Council met on June 3,2019. The Council took the following actions: ® Approved Committee Appointments: Crystal Garcia to Position #1and Kerrie Allen to Position #5 - Newberg Public Library Advisory Board. Colin Bolek to Student Commissioner on the Planning Commission. • Approved to convene the Citizens' Rate Review Committee. ® Approved several resolutions: 2019-3566 Newberg Employee Handbook 2019 and Appendixes. 2019-3561Contract award to Summit Solutions Group for construction of the communication tower. 2019-3567 Patrol Car Purchase. 2019-3565 Recommending Yamhill County approve proposed partition at 1611NE Chehalem Dr. 2019-3562 Declaring City of Newberg's Election to receive state revenues. 2019-3563 Certifying the provision of municipal services by the City of Newberg. 2019-3564 Adoption of 2019-20 Budget, making appropriation, and imposing and categorizing the tax. 2019-3559 Adoption of Supplemental Budget #2 for fiscal year 2018-19. In other business, Heard update on Housing Needs Analysis. Heard update on Community Visioning process. Heard City Manager's report. Letters from local students regarding banning single use straws in Newberg restaurants. Pat Haight addressed the Council regarding the Butler Property.
