The Newberg City Council met on April 15th, 2019. The Council took the following actions: •Approved several resolutions: 2019-3555-Solar Panel grant with PGE and ODOT. 2019-3554-beginning code amendment process for murals in residential zones. 2019-3550-amendment to Public Safety Association union contract for cost of living adjustment. 2019-3545 —amendment to Day Wireless Systems contract for WCCCA communications project. 2019-3549 —contract with 3J Consulting Inc. for design of East Crestview Drive improvement project. 2019-3548 — contract with HDR Engineering Consulting, Inc for Water System seismic resilience study. 2019-3552-recommendation that Yamhill County approve conditional use & design review for winery and tasting room on NE Bell Road. •Directed staff to update and create a letter of support for finishing the Highway 18 Bypass to provide to regional and statewide decision makers. In other business, Held executive sessions on performance of a public official, pending litigation, and real property Heard presentation on Capital Improvement Plan. Heard presentation on redesign of City Flag. Heard activity report from City Manager. Discussed Council committee and community activities.
