The Newberg City Council met on December 17th, 2018 and took the following actions: ● Approved Supplemental Budget #1 for Fiscal Year 2018-19 (Resolution 3512). ● Approved Ordinance 2841, new legal description of City of Newberg. ● Approved the following Resolutions: Resolution 3516, storm easement for Lucas & Michelle Buyas Resolution 3504, contract with WRK Engineers to design PSB seismic retrofit. Resolution 3515, contract with HBH Consulting for GFU Fire Flow waterline improvement. Resolution 3517, contract with HBH Consulting for City wastewater I&I project. Resolution 3518, quitclaim deed for State of Oregon – Newberg-Dundee Bypass. Resolution 3520, recommendations on appointments to Visit Newberg Board of Directors ● Made appointments to City Committees. ● Approved Council Minutes for November 19th, 2018. ● Approved Camellia Festival funding request of $14,000. In other business, the Council: ● Heard a report from the City Manager. ● Heard from citizens on nuisance violations in the Creekview neighborhood, RV occupancy, an annexation that was not completed in previous years, a financial award received by the City, and a thank you for outgoing councilors volunteer work on the Council. ● Tabled the Visit Newberg agreement & Draft business plan to January 22nd, 2019.
