The Newberg City Council met on September 17, 2018 and took the following actions: ● Appointed Elise Yarnell Hollamon to the District 1 Council seat to fill a term until Dec. 31, 2020. She will be sworn in at the October 1, 2018 Council Meeting. ● Approved Resolution 2018-3497, PERS agreement. ● Approved Council Minutes for August 20, 2018. In other business, the Council: ● Directed staff to prepare changes to Council Rules for a future meeting. ● Directed staff to research adding protection for mobile home parks to the Comprehensive plan and bring back a report on October 15th. ● Heard report from the City Manager. ● Heard from citizens on followup on request about veterans’ banners placement, and to oppose Measure 105. ● Tabled a waiver request on building fees to October 1st.
