The Newberg City Council met on August 20, 2018 and took the following actions: ● Appointed Zach Pelz to the Planning Commission, and David Bonn to the Budget Committee. ● Approved the following Resolutions: Resolution 2018-3436, creation of Tourism Marketing Organization. Resolution 2018-3496, DEQ loan amendment. ● Approved $10,000 in Transient Lodging Tax monies for the Wake up in Wine Country campaign grant. ● Approved the following Ordinance: Ordinance 2018-2838, Zoning Change for 1109 S. River Street. In other business, the Council: ● Discussed the Long Range Financial Plan ● Heard report from the City Manager. Heard report on Community Visioning Program. ● Held public hearing and first reading for Ordinance 2018-2839, Zoning Change for 501 and 507 E. Illinois Street. ● Held an executive session on real property transactions.
