The Newberg City Council met on July 16, 2018 and took the following actions: ● Proclaimed July 26-29 as Newberg Old Fashioned Festival Week ● Appointed Nick Morace, Holly Bradford, and Adam Lundstrom to Citizens Rate Review Commission ●Appointed Rebecka Ratcliffe to the Library Advisory Board. ● Approved the following Resolutions: Resolution 2018-3487, Contract award to ESRI, Inc. for Geographic Information Systems. Resolution 2018-3492, Business Oregon grant for seismic rehabilitation of the Public Safety Building. Resolution 2018-3489, Contract award to Cache Valley for storage computer hardware ● Approved the following Ordinances: Ordinance 2018- 2835, Amendment to the 2008 Springbrook Development Agreement. ● Approved minutes for June 16, 2018 Council Meeting. In other business, the Council: ● Discussed Long Range Financial Plans for the City. ● Heard report from the City Manager, and a report on the Community Visioning Program from the Community Development Director. ● Discussed Council attendance at the Newberg Old Fashioned Festival parade. ● Heard an update on the 2018 General Election, and the District 1 vacancy recruitment. ● Met in Executive Session on pending litigation.
