The Newberg City Council met on June 18, 2018 and took the following actions: ● Approved the following Resolutions: Resolution 2018-3467, Approving the budget for Fiscal Year 2018-19. Resolution 2018-3488, Ratifying the Cost of Living for 2018 for the Newberg-Dundee Police Union. Resolution 2018-3481, Transfer of assets to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue effective July 1, 2018. Resolution 2018-3472, changes to Wastewater System Development Charge methodology. ● Accepted a proposal from the Chamber for Destination Marketing Plan as fulfilling the terms of the contract for 2018-19. ● Appointed Lisa Rogers to the Riverfront Committee, and student Ashley Solis to the Historic Preservation Commission. ● Approved minutes for May 21, 2018 Council Meeting. In other business, the Council: ● Heard from citizens concerned about financial health of the City, internet radio programming, and the award of a contract for the NE Chehalem Wastewater and Water Extension Project. ● Heard a report on activities by the City Manager. ● Held two executive sessions - 1 with the City Manager to discuss his annual evaluation, and 2 – Update on Real Property negotiations on the sale of the Animal Shelter.
