The Newberg City Council met on February 6th, 2017 and took the following actions: ● Approved meeting minutes for January 3, 2017. ● Accepted the Auditor’s report for 2016 from Boldt, Carlisle + Smith In other business, City Council: ●Heard a presentation on the Emergency Operations & Preparedness plan. ● Heard reports from Department Heads on different projects going on in the City. ● Considered a request from Unidos Bridging Community to consider adopting a resolution to make Newberg an inclusive city. Directed staff to prepare a resolution for the March 6 City Council meeting. ● Heard a report from the City Manager on city services and operations. ● Heard an update on the Public Works Design Standards project. ● Heard an update from the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce. ● Heard an update on the Newberg 2030 project ● Heard an update on the Long Range Financial Plan. ● Heard an update on the Transient Lodging Tax Budget and Small Grant program ● Held an executive session on pending litigation
