The Newberg City Council met on January 3rd, 2017 and took the following actions: ● Elected Stephen McKinney as Council President for 2017 ● Approved Resolution 2017-3349, amending a Utility Agreement with ODOT for the Newberg-Dundee Bypass ● Approved Resolution 2017-3350, Supplemental Budget #1 for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. ● Tabled Ordinance 2016-2811, a Transportation Utility Fee to March 6, 2017 and referred it back to committee for revisions. ● Approved a noise variance request from K&E Excavating Incorporated for the Bypass Project until the end of 2017. In other business, City Council: ● Heard reports from the City Manager on city services and operations. City Councilors were sworn into office for terms of 2017-2020: District 1 – Hayley Delle, District 3 – Denise Bacon, District 5 – Mike Corey
