The Newberg City Council met on October 18, 2021 and took the following actions. Approved Ordinance 2021-2878, Annexation of 29.38 acres in the Riverfront area. Approved Order 2021-42, Upholding Planning Commission decision on Conditional Use Permit for vacation rental on W. 5th Street. Approved Resolutions: 2021-3767, Extension of Street Seat program through August 2023. 2021-3769, $20,000 of Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund for Urban Renewal work. By motion: Cancelled Ordinance 2021-2885 on Urban Renewal Plan Accepted annual audit for Visit (Taste) Newberg In other business, Heard activity reports from City Manager & City Attorney. Heard presentations from new Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce Director, Newberg Downtown Coalition on Berg Bucks, and Waste Management presentation on proposed rate increase for garbage franchise.
