Council Roundup for July 19, 2021 The Newberg City Council met on July 19, 2021 and took the following actions. Approved Resolutions: 2021-3758 – purchase of property from WestRock for future expansion of Water Treatment Plant. 2021-3755, Initiation of amendment to Development Code related to HB 2306 Substantial Completion. 2021-3752, Housing Needs Analysis & Housing Strategy for 2021. Gave direction to begin expansion of the Urban Growth Boundary for the City Declared extension on fireworks ban and state of emergency in Newberg until November 1st except for professional fireworks displays. In other business, Reviewed fireworks ban and state of emergency declarations. Heard activity report from Assistant City Manager and City Attorney. Heard presentations on Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments function & purpose, Newberg Downtown Coalition grant report, Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce quarterly report. Held Executive Session on performance review for Municipal Judge.
