The Newberg City Council met on November 21, 2022 and took the following actions. Approved: Ordinance 2022-2910, Vacation of unnamed Right of Way north of Mountainview Drive. Resolution 2022-3870, recommending Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Oregon Transportation Commission approve Interchange Area Management Plan for Newberg Dundee Bypass Highway 19 and Highway 219 interchange. Resolution 2022-3873, Declaring a vacancy on the City Council for District 3 and setting forth a process to fill the position. Renamed the Public Safety training room the Denise Bacon Community Room. Approved having Denise Bacon’s placard remain out for the remainder of her term (December 31, 2024). In other business: Heard statistics report from City Manager, annual update on Housing Work Program, and Taste Newberg report.
