Subject: Speed reduction request for Hwy 213
Hi Greg,
We are preparing a speed reduction request to the State Traffic Engineer for Highway 213 and would appreciate any support your company can give. If you could send us a letter of support in PDF format with your letterhead then we will include it with the letter from the Fire District, Police Department, and a resolution from the City Council. Here is an example of what I sent to others.
“The [name of group] supports the City of Molalla’s request for the reduction of the speed limit along Highway 213 within the Molalla City limits to reduce the severity and frequency of crashes along this corridor.” Feel free to add anything you want. The goal is to impart on the State Traffic Engineer that speed in our urban area are too high and need to be reduced. Thanks and we would like to package all of this up and send out to ODOT by Friday, November 2nd. Let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
