Hi Andrew,

I wasn’t interested in changing the ownership of the lights. What I was interested in was looking at the cost to do some lighting infill along Hwy 211 between Hwy 213 and Molalla Avenue. Some areas have lighting but there is a large section that is unlit and difficult for drivers to see pedestrians along the narrow shoulder. What I am looking for is a cost to install new LED lights on the existing power poles along this stretch so that I can budget for installation in next fiscal year. If the budget committee and City Council approve then we will be looking at installation next summer after July 01. Thanks and let the lighting group know that they can contact me for more details.

Regards,

Subject: street lighting

Gerald, last we met, you expressed interest in reopening the discussion about streetlighting in the City of Molalla; namely, converting streetlights to either City-owned or PGE-owned.

I have notified our lighting group, who have some availability before the holidays if you’d like to meet.

Let me know your thoughts.
