It was open trenched when it was placed, so I don’t think the damage would be due to MCC’s conduit being bored through the line. MCC’s conduit looks to be a good 12 inches below the sewer line (from the pictures) and it doesn’t look to me that they intersected. That would be consistent with how facilities were placed at that time, although I wasn’t employed here then and can’t confirm or deny what conspired between MCC and the City. I’m willing to discuss it further if you come to the conclusion that MCC damaged the line, but at this point I’m not sure that’s the case. Please let me know where you end up on this. It damaged the pipe from below causing a backup to the business. No reports received of internal damages and I think they got it cleared in time. We had to call out for an emergency repair and had Sanitech perform the work. Once confirmed, there will be costs associated with the repair that is approximately $7K due to it being in the state highway. Will keep you posted either way. Thanks.
