Sounds good Gerald! Mr. Quigley, sorry for the false alarm, please dis-regard my request for engineering help for now. City Crew will lay out the lot, then, based on the updated shop drawing attached.

Thanks!

Andy

Hi Andy,

I spoke with Dan H about the intent of the temporary court location and have an understanding now of what we need to do. We can sign for two ADA spots and one open spot in front of the PAL building. We will also need another sign installed that is visible from the street in both directions that says, “Additional Court Parking Available At Adult Center”. We can do this based on your sketch so no design is needed at this time.

If we move to a more permanent situation in the future at this location then a full design review through Planning and Public Works will be required for upgrades to that site. Thanks.

Subject: 209 Kennel Ave Temporary Municipal Court

Ryan, we find ourselves in need of setting up the parking lot at our building at 209 Kennel St (called the “PAL” Building) to handle Temporary Municipal Court, and to do so fairly short notice. I did my best with a (super quick) amateur layout, but this is Municipal Court, and so the lot needs to be thought through properly. I don’t think we need a full Drawing for our crew to handle what’s needed, but we do need to make sure we don’t forget anything critical, like proper ADA compliance (?). I am not qualified to lay out this parking lot! So I thought someone from your team could help me make sure we don’t screw this up.

There are some specifics around what’s needed with the building:

-My deadline is the First Court Date: January 19th, 2020.

-The white lines on the map attached are for a Prisoner Transport to back in. A new gate automatic gate is being installed in the coming weeks.

-the parking lot to the south is Private Property, unfriendly, and will not be happy if people park there; and

-public parking for this is intended to be be at the Adult Center, the lot directly to the North of the Skate Park

Let me know if you guys do NOT have time to handle this with me by the deadline? We can do some scope-of-work paperwork for the files after the Holiday, if you are okay with that.

Respectfully,

Andy Peters
