Hi Andy,

Lets talk at our next regularly scheduled meeting. I have some thoughts. Also have a parking revision for City Hall. Thanks.

Following up: I just spoke with this customer, Lynda Howerton. Her complaint, after our conversation, is: Red Mustang parked in front of the Mailboxes on Doug Fir Lane, been there since the Super Bowl. She says she cannot access her mail as she is disabled. Her address is 1000 Bear Creek Dr, howr2000@gmail.com, 707-344-2891.

Subject: Mail Box No Parking Markings

Folks, we’ve gotten several requests to put up no parking signs or curb paint in front of Mailboxes in Bear Creek, Big Meadow, and Lexington Estates subdivisions. To put us all on the same page: we do not wish to open that can of worms - where would it stop? I was about to call this latest person back, and refer them to the Police Non-Emergency Line if she finds someone is breaking the ordinance that applies, which is 10.41.090 B 3:

Except to momentarily pick up or discharge a passenger, no person shall stand or park a vehicle in such a manner or location that it constitutes a hazard to public safety or an obstruction to vehicle, bicycle or pedestrian traffic on the street, which shall include but not be limited to, standing or parking: 3. In front of and 10 feet on either side of a delivery mailbox, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., except Sunday and official postal holidays;

Thanks!

Andy
