Guys,

I taste it at City Hall too. Likely due to smoke in our area. Check in with Veolia in Canby, OR drinking water program, and Silverton to see if they are getting reports of same type of odors or flavors from others and is there a way to treat. Get back to me what you have because I am sure Facebook will blow up soon.

Michael, thank you for letting me know your concern. I'm sending a crew out to do a residual chlorine on your street just to make sure, but as of right now we have no reason to believe the water is anything but safe to drink. Treatment at the plant this morning was 1.15 parts per million chlorine, and 0.05 NTU turbidity, safe to drink, but it doesn't surprise me that what we call "secondary aesthetics" change as we all face this big smoke cloud. The river itself has probably changed chemistry, and even the glass I drink out of at home is Smoky and dusty (I live in big meadow). We've got a couple more investigations to do today, and I will let you know if anything changes.

Andy

Subject: Water testing

Hi,

I left you a voice mail also.

I live at 500, Andrian Ct, Molalla OREGON 97038

I am wondering if the city has done any Recent water testing since the big evacuation and ash storm? I have noticed the water has a strong smell of ash and has a bad taste as well. My wife has asked others in the community and they all have noticed the same thing.

Would you look into water safety and any testing that has been completed in the last 2 days?

You can contact me at this email or at 503-333-0085

Thank you

Michael
