Hello Mr. Peters,
Thanks for the attached pdf about post-fire Public Assistance for water providers. Please go ahead and establish a log in for the FEMA PA portal:
https://grantee.fema.gov/ and I will contact OEM/FEMA regarding your post-fire system improvement estimates to make sure they are eligible projects, since this will be new equipment installation based on new post-fire conditions vs. repairing or replacing damaged equipment.
Thanks and stay tuned,
Jay

Good Afternoon Mr. Wilson,
The City of Molalla has undergone it’s post wildfire assessment in cooperation with the State’s Oregon Health Authority, and for Molalla it has been recommended that we look in to outside assistance to harden our system. Over 50% of our watershed was burned, and specifically, OHA is recommending that Molalla install equipment to analyze raw water TOC, pH, and Turbidity, to ensure we are capable of taking the proper coordinated action, be able to properly chemical dose our raw water, and know when treatment focus should change from Turbidity to TOC removal, as events occur.
The City has gathered quotes for this equipment as follows. Molalla will need financial assistance through FEMA Public Assistance Program to offset the costs as indicated in the OHA Wildfire Resources for Public Water Systems letter attached. To do so, we are asked to go through our County Emergency Manager. Can you help the us understand what steps we need to take?
