Importance: Normal

If Andy can’t attend, let me know. We can still send Zinder to the workshop.

I was planning to assign one of the three pre-app projects (probably AutoZone) to DZ….but I personally think you are more valuable at the pre-apps. Again, that’s your call.

Hi,

As he mentioned in an earlier email, Zinder won’t be able to attend the workshop this week. In looking at the topic covered, he wondered if someone like Andy ought to attend this week due to the fact it is involves debris management, stormwater and flooding. Ultimately, it’s your call, Gerald. I thought I would raise it since Zinder brought it to my attention.

For right now, yes. When we get our Project Engineer staff we will bring that over to that new person. Will need to have you do a catch up and hand off of the responsibilities including letting our contacts know of the change. Thanks Dan.

Does it still make sense for me to be the point person for the EM workshops? I will not be able to attend this one.

Subject: Cities Workshop: Thursday, March 5th 1:30pm

Hello Cities Emergency Managers,

Our next quarterly meeting for the Cities Workshop is Thursday, March 5, 2020 @ 1:30-3:30pm. At this meeting, you will be updated on several local and regional projects, and be asked to share input on the behalf of your cities. It is critical that you or someone from your organization attend the meeting, so we have representation for decision-points moving forward.

Disaster Debris Plan. One agenda item where we need your city’s input is on the update of the 2016 Disaster Debris Plan, and it’s formal inclusion in the County’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). This update reflects the current FEMA guidance, the County’s efforts to put the debris contracts in place, and other updated information. One of the last steps for this version is to establish MOUs with cities that would like to be able to be included in the plan and debris contracts. The plan will continue to improve over time but this is a major milestone in the County’s efforts to prepare for a debris-generating event, with opportunities for cities to benefit from the plan as needed.

Please see the attached agenda for additional project updates and topics to be discussed at the meeting. Looking forward to seeing you all next week!
