I had other pressing items to attend to. I am available today but with all the fire concerns and the fact that your area is under a level 3 evacuation I am not sure trying to get up there today would be a wise decision. Of course this is based on information I am hearing on the news so I am not sure how accurate it is. Please let me know what the situation is like up there and whether you want to try and meet up there soon. Good Afternoon Darrell, As to our conversation over the phone, The City of Molalla is replacing the sewer main and service laterals to the property line throughout Patrol St. We ran into two scenario where NW Natural service line runs parallel over our sewer laterals. Making it impossible for our Contractor to replace our service laterals to 704 and 719 Patrol St. We are looking for your assistance on relocating NW Naturals service lines. Please let me know when would be a good time to meet on site to resolve this issue. Thanks, Sam Miller | Sr. Engineer Tech. I was on site this morning at about 10:30 and neither of the existing laterals had been potholed yet. They did locate the existing lateral at 704 Patrol St. though, and the gas line appears to be directly over the cleanout. We also looked at 719 Patrol St. together, and the gas line appears to conflict with the cleanout trench for 20 ft. or so. I understand George was on site the other day with NWN and they were not very accommodating which is unfortunate; Sam will get in contact and see what he can do. In the meantime, we were looking at the possibility of pushing the gas lines aside (especially at 719 Patrol St.) and providing enough clearance that way for the sewer laterals. This is also the method that NWN suggested. If this solution does not work for either of the conflicts, we will have schedule an onsite meeting with NWN, such as the meeting we had for the MCC lines. For now, the number one objective for these conflicts is to pothole the existing laterals like we suggested earlier so we can really know what’s going on, then we can move forward from there. They basically said they didn’t agree that they needed to be moved and weren’t interested in hearing anything else about it. Is there anything you can do to help persuade them to revise their position? Maybe we can schedule an onsite meeting with the NWN, MEI, Dyer, and the City?
