Andy – We are making daily if not hourly decisions regarding the safety of our community and employees. We will make decisions based on that aspect not whether or not another City has made a hasty or emotional decision. There are some fairly intelligent individuals working for our organization. When a question like that is asked our response may reflect the daily challenge in making those decisions. Being questioned out loud sounds a little challenging.

He gave me a card: Gabe Camacho. From everything I've seen down here there is no hysteria among the crew. The union is contacin you of their own volition unless I'm completely snowed. Example; after your conversation with the crew earlier today Shawn asked me if he had upset you and how he could improve his communication so he didn't sound like he was being tough to deal with. Your crew seems to be on board. They are not excited about a swig shift. But they also can't think of any other way. Adam, Ryan, and Jake all gave input into that letter. Andy

Thanks Andy. I am going to make a couple of edits and prepare this to go through Dan to the Union. Will CC you so you are in the loop.

Not sure why the utility lead from Oregon City came in to our organization to make a statement about what their organization is or is not doing. I hope this wasn’t precipitated by someone within our organization in an effort to create some leverage or hysteria within our organization. What is the name of the OC individual that stopped in?

Gerald, here is a shift options letter for you. Feel free to plagiarize.

The Utility Lead from Oregon City was just in here and said they were all sent home this morning after the governor’s order. Only 3 supervisors are going in to the office. All other crews are home watching their phones and calling in each morning.

Respectfully,

Andy Peters
