Subject: What the Public Works and City is doing during COVID-19

Importance: Normal

Hi Dan,

For those folks out there in the community who are wondering what we are doing here is the list I came up with.

  1. 1. Chief of Police, Lieutenant, and PW Director are attending emergency management meetings twice per week with Clackamas County.
  2. 2. Monitoring status reports daily from Clackamas County EOC.
  3. 3. Following section 4 of the Emergency Operations Plan regarding public health epidemic. County Health is the lead agency.
  4. 4. PD operating as normal with social distancing as applicable.
  5. 5. PW operating as normal with social distancing as applicable.
  6. 6. PW conducting regular check in’s on staff physical and mental health.
  7. 7. Operating treatment plants and systems as normal.
  8. 8. Continuing essential capital construction projects as planned.
  9. 9. Reviewing and updating as needed the Emergency Operation Plan.
  10. 10. Providing factual and pertinent updates to website and Facebook as they become available from the State of Oregon and Clackamas County.
  11. 11. Working on projects at shops and plants that there is normally not enough time to do.

Hope this helps with your reports to Council on status. Thanks.

Regards,

Gerald Fisher, P.E. | Public Works Director
