Hi Hassan,
I just want to make sure I’m clear on the subgrade fabric. We are just to install it in the asphalt repair areas only? It includes Grange Ave. and on Heintz St. only and not on Stowers Road unless we are directed to do Subgrade Stabilization then it is included.

Hi Curtis,
On Grange Avenue repair areas, would you make sure fabric is installed between the native material and the 1”-0” crushed rock.
Now with the pavement repairs done, delete the overlay fabric on Grange Street only, we don’t see the need for it. The cost will be based on the field measurements at the bid price.

I agree, however we should have geotextile at the bottom of the pavement repair sections. I currently do not see geotextile listed between the existing firm undisturbed ground or rock base and new crushed rock backfill. Also what is the crushed rock backfill size?

The 5% retainage is being held until the project is finalized and accepted and doesn’t change the total cost for each segment of the project. ODOT is committed into paying the $ amount as stipulated in the IGA regardless, all other costs are coming from the City funds, be it water or streets SDC. If it is confusing, please call and I can explain better.
